Established in 1976
Başoğlu Karavan is an organization that started manufacturing in Sakarya Adapazarı in 1976 and has become one of the leading caravan companies in the sector, making its name known worldwide under the Caretta brand. Our company, with over 40 years of experience, takes pride in being one of the few caravan companies in the world and the first brand that comes to mind when one thinks of caravans in Turkey. As Başoğlu Karavan, our export drive in 2005, followed by the addition of our entirely self-designed CARETTA series to our product family in 2008, has led to our export market covering all continents and over 63 countries, primarily in Western Europe, accounting for 91% of our production capacity by 2025.
Our company, which has made a name for itself in the domestic market as well as the international one, has taken on the responsibility to produce high-quality products and to continuously develop by keeping up with innovations. Our brand attributes all its success to quality and meticulousness, paying careful attention to every stage of production. Our Carettas, which travel intercontinentally from Japan to Korea, from Western Europe to Chile, offer their users the opportunity to always have their living space with them. With years of experience, our company takes into account every detail that a caravan user might need. Since the production of our first products, our caravans have been continuously developed according to needs, now representing the most minimal and comfortable form of a livable space today.

In 1976, I embarked on a journey with an impulsive decision, the outcome of which I could never have predicted. Together with a couple of friends, we had the chance to stay in a caravan in Paris. Right before we returned, I came across some caravan catalogs that piqued my interest significantly, so I brought them back to Turkey with me.
My father was an avid hunter and would often go on hunting trips with his friends. One day, upon returning from such a trip, he told us about the difficult and uncomfortable conditions he had to endure while staying overnight. It was at that moment he saw the catalogs I had brought from Paris, and he asked my brother and me to build one of those caravans. Not wanting to disappoint him, we set out to construct what would later become a great passion for me. My father was very pleased with the result, and we found ourselves beginning an entirely new journey.
